The UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development – MONDIACULT 2022 was convened by UNESCO forty years after the first Mondiacult World Conference on Cultural Policies held in Mexico City (Mexico) in 1982, and 24 years after the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies for Development held in Stockholm (Sweden) in 1998. The MONDIACULT 2022, hosted from 28 to 30 September 2022, brought together nearly 2,600 participants over three days in Mexico City. At UNESCO’s and Mexico’s invitation, 150 States sent delegations to the conference, 135 of them were represented at the highest level by ministers of culture.
Representing the International Council for Film, Television and Audiovisual Communication (CICT-ICFT) to UNESCO, Ms Xueyuan HUN, Director of Platform for Creativity & Innovation (PCI), intervened on the Thematic Session “The Future of the Creative Economy“ of the UNESCO World Conference on Cultural Policies and Sustainable Development – MONDIACULT 2022, in Mexico City. During her invention, she highlighted a key point related to the future of creative economy: interdisciplinarity; and announced the preparation for launching an interdisciplinary program that creates interactions and collaborations between art, culture and other different fields through creative and innovative process.
